 Recent Work Experience:
June 1996- Sept 2000: Project Engineer, Manufacturers Services Ltd.,
Athlone. Sub-Contract CEM (Contract Electronic Manufacturer).
Developed a Prototype Machine Utilisation system(MSAccess
+ VBA) to monitor utilisation of key equipment on all factory
SMT(Surface Mount Technology) production lines. Liased with
a software development company, to develop the prototype into
a product. Implemented this product in Athlone, Spanish and
US sites.
Engineer responsible for the implemention of a shop
floor WIP and quality management system GENRAD's CIMBRIDGE
and TRACS system.
Developed Shortage Report Generator to identify
potential stock shortages(MSAccess+VBA)
Developed Electronic
Shop floor Documentation system to provide operators access
to documents in real time.(Excel + VBA)
Research Interests
My research is focusing on the area of enabling and the development of key business to business integration technologies with an aim to provide a virtual integration of systems in cases of:
- A single transaction
- Multiple transactions
- Enterprises Collaborating together over a prolonged time frame
